Oregon ZooLights - Everyone All Aboard!

Bundling excited kids, nibbling on mouth-watering fudge, and feeling the cool, crisp air reminds my family of one thing: Oregon ZooLights!

Ringing in their 25th Anniversary, the Oregon Zoo transformed their grounds with over a million LED lights into a magical winter wonderland. While we visited the Oregon ZooLights a few years ago, we were absolutely blown away by the gigantic light displays everywhere you turn. I truly felt like a kid again pointing and oohing around every corner. Here is my family's experience:

The Oregon ZooLights is an event for everyone. I recommend bundling for cold weather, bringing a stroller for little ones, and arriving early to find best parking and permit a casual walk through the ZooLights. Find more great information and frequently asked questions here.


ZooLights Schedule
Sunday-Thursday hours: ZooLights gates are open from 5-8 p.m. Guests may stay on grounds until 9 p.m.

Friday-Saturday hours: ZooLights gates are open from 5-8:30 p.m. Guests may stay on grounds until 9:30 p.m.

Train: Train will begin running around 5:15 p.m.

Dark: There will be no ZooLights on Monday, Dec. 24. The Zoo is closed on Tuesday, Dec. 25.

ZooLights Special Offers
Second Tuesday, Dec. 11

• Enjoy the zoo during the day for only $4 per person (until 4 p.m.)
• Enjoy ZooLights (after 4 p.m.) with a buy-one-get-one special
• Second ticket must be equal or lesser value
• Not valid with any other discounts or promotions

TriMet Discounts

• From Nov. 23 - Dec. 13, receive a $1.50 discount by showing a proof of Trimet ridership
• From Dec. 14 - Dec. 31, receive a $3 discount by showing a proof of Trimet ridership

Food Specials

• 2 hot chocolates + 2 giant chocolate chip cookies OR 2 crispy marshmallow bars for $9
• At the Cascade Grill or AfriCafe: for each adult entrée purchased (valued at $5.95 or greater) receive $3.50 off one kid's meal from our kid menu. Valid Nov. 26 through Dec. 31, 2012, not valid with any other discounts or special offers
